Thailand Won Four TripAdvisor Award
Votes of TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice 2010 have been collected, processed, and final result has just been announced. Despite of severe political unrest in the capital leading to travel advisory from more than 50 countries, Thailand won four out of ten awards for beach destinations in Asia. Koh Lanta, Khao Lak, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui respectively ranked third, fourth, fifth, and sixth on the list of “Top 10 Beach & Sun Destinations in Asia”.
The victory made Thailand the most awarded country in Asia, leaving Vietnam, Maldives, and the Philippines behind.
Thailand won remarkable victory in other ways as well. The cities of Chaing Mai, Bangkok, and Ayutthaya were listed on “Top 10 Culture & Sightseeing Destinations in Asia”. Bangkok was also listed on “Top 10 Food & Wine Destinations in Asia”. Koh Lanta and Koh Samui are listed on “Top 10 Romance Destinations in Asia”. Koh Lanta, Koh Samui, and Chiang Mai listed on “Top 10 Relaxation and Spa Destination in Asia”.
